This represents the reportable activities of the Police Department over the last week.

03-14-12 at approximately 2:00PM. Exeter police were dispatched to the area of Maple and “F” ST. regarding a disturbance in progress. Mark Figueroa age 22 of Exeter was arrested for violation of a domestic violence restraining order. He was processed at Exeter P.D and released with a promise to appear at a later date. Figueroa is described as a HMA 507/192 Blk/Bro D.O.B. 06-09-89

On 03/15/12, Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 700 block of Westwood regarding vandalism.  The male victim was contacted who advised he had just purchased the residence with escrow closing this same morning.  When he entered the home he found the interior of the residence to be completely destroyed.  There were several holes knocked into the walls in every room, ceiling knocked down, all windows and doors broken.  The interior was flooded and a total loss estimated at over $100,000.  Officer McElroy had taken an unrelated vandalism on 03/14/12 and through the course of the investigation he identified four male juvenile suspects which were also involved in this vandalism. Three out of the four juveniles were brought to the Exeter Police Department by their parents to give statements.  All three gave full confessions and were arrested at the police department.  The Juveniles were later released to their parents and the report will be forwarded to the Juvenile DA’s office. The outstanding juvenile suspect will be contacted at a later time.

03-15-12 at 4:14 PM. Exeter police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Joy court for a mentally handicapped adult having a violent outburst. The subject was transported by ambulance for a mental evaluation.

On 3-16-12 at approximately 1500 hours, Officers responded to the Wilson middle School in regards to a vehicle vandalism that occurred on school grounds. The case is being investigated by Exeter Police.

On 3-16-12 at approximately 1358 hours, Officers contacted Michael Sanchez, who had multiple warrants for his arrest, at the intersection of Visalia Road and Filbert. Michael Sanchez was taken into custody for his warrants. Sanchez is described as a HMA, 5-09 190lbs, bro blk, with a DOB of 9-13-84. Sanchez was booked into Tulare County Jail.

On 3-17-12 at approximately 1245 hours, Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Belmont near the intersection of Chestnut. During the traffic stop, Officers discovered the driver, Omar Ledezma did not have a drivers license. Ledezma is described as a HMA, 4-05 150lbs, bro and blk, with a DOB of 2-16-91. Ledezma’s vehicle was impounded and he was released with a citation.

On 3-18-12 at approximately 1805 hours, Officers performed a traffic stop on Visalia Road near the intersection of Belmont. During the traffic stop officers discovered the driver, Joseph Dawson, did not have a drivers license. Dawson is described as a WMA, 6-00 150lbs, Brn and Brn, with a DOB of 4-1-84. Dawson was released with a citation.

On 03/19/12 officers responded to the 700 block of W. Maple regarding a reported spousal abuse in progress. Officers arrived and contacted the female victim who reported that her husband was intoxicated and had started an argument with her that led to him pushing her in the stomach and punching her in the face. Officers contacted the male subject, Miguel Angel Patino, for a statement. After officers spoke to Patino, he was arrested for spousal abuse and transported to EPD for further processing. Patino was later transported to Tulare County Main Jail where he was booked on the above charges.

On 03/20/12 officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Orange and Pine. After officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, Joaquin Alva Jr., it was discovered that Alva did not have a valid driver’s license. Alva was arrested for the violation, photographed, then cited and released with a promise to appear citation. The vehicle driven by Alva was released to a licensed driver.

On 3-22-12 at approximately 1437 hours, Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 600 block of West Visalia Road. During the traffic stop, officers discovered the driver was driving without a driver’s license. Maria Elenz Loza-Uribe is described as a HFA, 5-06 130lbs, bro bro, with a DOB of 6-8-85. Uribe was released with a citation for driving without a driver’s license and her vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

On 3-22-12 at approximately 1652 hours, Officers were dispatched to a non-injury traffic accident at the intersection of Kaweah and D Street. During the investigation of the traffic collision, officers discovered the driver of one of the vehicles was discovered do be driving without a driver’s license. Inocencia Rodriguez is described as a HFA, 4-11

On 03-23-12 at approximately 2105 hours officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving with no headlights. Upon contact with the driver, officers found the driver to have no license. Jyles Lindsey (12-29-93, male, bro, blu, 5-8, 140) was charged with driving without a license. He was cited and released at the scene without further incident.

On 3/23/12 at approximately 0022 hrs Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Gearey for the report of shots fired. Upon arriving in the area evidence of a shooting was located and a residence had been struck multiple times. No one was injured Investigation on going.

ON 3-23-12 at approximately 1205 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of D and Willow in regards to a drunk driver. Thomas Wallace was pulled over and arrested for Driving while intoxicated. Wallace is described as a WMA, 6-06 325lbs, Brn Blu, with a DOB of 8-25-71. Wallace was released from the department to a responsible family member.

 On 3/24/12 at approximately 2100 hrs officers were called to the 200 block of S. G. St for the report of a verbal argument. While there they located Chad Taff, 3-25-83, 5’10 169, Bro, blue. While speaking to Taff officers noticed that he exhibited sign of being under the influence of a controlled substance. FST were given and Taff was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. A records check was conducted on Taff and a warrant was located for his arrest. Taff was cited and released for both the warrant and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

On 3/24/12 at approximately 2205 hrs officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for swerving and almost striking a parked vehicle. Virginia Walker 6-4-49, 5’2 140 bln, bro, was contacted behind the driver seat. SFST’s were conducted with Walker and she was arrested for driving under the influence of Alcohol. She was later cited and released.

On 03/24/12, Officers were dispatched to a vehicle burglary in the 1400 block of West Willow. The male victim reported that sometime during the night the passenger window of his work truck was broken and tools were taken from the seat. No suspects have been identified in this case.

On 02/24/12, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Clarence regarding a fight in progress. The male victim reported a family altercation which ended in his grandmother’s boyfriend hitting him in the face. The victim sustained no injury and a report will be sent to the DA for review of possible charges.

On 3-25-12 at approximately 1155 hours, officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of S H. Lisa Horton was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license. Horton is described as a WFA, 5-03 180lbs, Bln and Blu, with a DOB of 9-15-66. Horton was released with a citation and her vehicle was impounded.

On 03-25-12 officers responded to the 300 block of north B St regarding two males trying to gain entry into an occupied residence. Upon arrival the victim stated the males had left in a white GMC truck. Officer located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. Three males were taken out of the vehicle and detained. The victim was taken to the scene of the traffic stop and performed an in-field show to see if the victim could identify the suspects. The victim positively identified two of the males. Roberto Meza Jr. (12-30-81, BLK, BRO, 5-10, 200) was arrested and charged with attempted burglary, driving under the influence and driving on a suspended or revoked license. Ray Dean Williams (10-09-87, BRO, BLU, 5-11, 185) was arrested and charged with attempted burglary. Mitch Thomas Finley (03-08-80, BRO, BRO, 5-10, 180) was arrested and charged with public intoxication. All three arrestees were transported to Tulare County Main Jail and book without further incident.

On 3-26-12 at approximately 1530 hrs, Officers were dispatched to an address in the 400 block of West Visalia Road in regards to a theft from check card. The crime occurred in Ontario. The case is being forwarded to Ontario PD.

On 3/28/12 a female subject entered the Exeter Police Dept. supplying her personal information for a previous vandalism report. While obtaining the information she reported further vandalism that occurred at her rental property located in the 800 block of west Maple. Officers responded to the residence to obtain information for the new report. The case is pending further investigation.

On 3/28/12 Officers responded to the 100 block of south E in regards to a female subject disturbing customers and trespassing on a business’s property. The subject left the area before officers arrived but was later contacted for questioning. The case is being investigated further.

On 3/28/12 a female subject entered the Exeter Police Dept. reporting a theft that occurred from her residence in the 800 block of Monarch. The female subject’s cell phone was stolen from her residence by an unknown male subject who was allowed into the female subject’s residence. The case is being investigated for further information.

On 3-28-12 at approximately 1359 hours, officers were dispatched to a theft of a bicycle from the Valero Gas Station. When officers arrived, the bicycle was recovered and returned to the owner. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney for filing of charges.

On 3/28/12 at approximately 2240 hrs officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was missing a front head light. During a records check of the driver Miguel Pineiro, 8-26-68, HMA, Bro, bro, it was learned that he was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and released and the vehicle was impounded.

On 3/28/12 at approximately 2200 officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Plum for the report of a burglary, report taken investigation on going.

On Wednesday, 03-28-12, Exeter Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of N. ‘B’ Street for a petty theft report. Upon arrival, Officers were advised that a cellular telephone, valued at $200.00 was taken by unknown suspect(s) after the phone was briefly misplaced at the City Park suspects, leads or evidence located. Case under investigation by EPD.

On 3-29-12 at approximately 0815 hours, a female came to the police department to file a domestic violence report. During the investigation, officers discovered a Domestic Violence Restraining order between the husband and wife. Criminal charges were filed against the husband and the report was submitted to the District Attorney.

On 3-29-12 at approximately 1845 hours, Officers were dispatched to a out of control Juvenile in the 300 block of S I. During the contact, Officers learned the juvenile assaulted the mother and then fled the residence. The juvenile was later contacted and arrested for assaulting his mother. The juvenile was later released to his parents.

On Thursday, 03-29-12, at 2150 hours, Exeter Police Officers responded to an in progress family fight in the 700 block of S. Quince. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a highly intoxicated White Female Adult (W/F/A) in the front yard of the residence, who was eventually arrested for Public Intoxication, and taken to the Bob Wiley Detention Facility for the booking process, without further incident.

On 03-29-12 officers responded to the 200 block of south Francis regarding a verbal dispute. Upon contacting all parties involved officers determined the disputed was not only verbal but it was physical as well. All parties were separated for the night. This case is still under further investigation.

On 3/29/12 at approximately 1830 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. I St for the report of a fraud. Report was taken investigation ongoing.

On 4/2/12 officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Chestnut in regard to a person found trespassing in a residence. Upon arrival officers contacted the owner of the residence who stated his grandson, a Juvenile, is not supposed to be at his residence. The juvenile was taken into custody and processed at the Exeter Police Dept. and was later released into the care of a temporary guardian. The case is being forwarded to the Juvenile DA for review.

On 4/2/12 officers were dispatched to Verizon yard located in the 200 block of Firebaugh in regards to a theft of copper wire. The wire had an estimated value of over $1100.

On 4-2-12 at approximately 2315 hours, while conducting a traffic stop officers discovered that a felony domestic violence assault had occurred on 4-1-12. The case is being investigated by Exeter PD.

On 04-03-12 officers responded to the 200 block of west Chestnut regarding a burglary alarm sounding. Upon arrival officers contacted Chad Taff (03-25-83, 5-10, 170, BRO, BLU) in his vehicle trying to leave the area of the alarm. Taff displayed the objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Taff was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and booked into Tulare County Main Jail without incident.

On 4/3/12 Officers responded to the 400 blk of W. Maple for a 911 Hang up. Upon arrival and during an investigation Officers arrested Angel Avila 10-2-62, Bro Bro, 5’3 180 for 243(e)(1) pc, domestic battery. He was transported to Tulare County Jail and booked.

On 4/3/12 officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of East Pine St. in regards to a trespassing on the business’s property. Arrested was Rosalind Bobert, a 68 year old white female, 5’2, 120 Lbs, who was later located walking on Pine St. and was placed under arrest. Bobert was processed at the Exeter Police Dept. and booked into the Tulare County Woman’s Facility.

On 4/3/12 officers were dispatched to the Bank of America located at 100 East Pine in regards to an attempted robbery. Upon arrival officers made contact with the banks manager and employees who stated an unknown male entered the bank and told the teller to give him all of the money. Suspect was unsuccessful in his attempt and left the bank out of frustration.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male approx. 30-35 years old. He was last seen wearing a burgundy sweatshirt and a black baseball cap with white writing. The case is still active pending investigation.

On 4/3/12 officer are investigating a theft of copper wire at a location on Firebaugh.

On Tuesday, 04-03-12, at 2320 hours, Exeter PD Officers contacted a known White Male Adult in the area of North ‘E’ Street at Walnut,  Upon gaining permission to search his person, 36.08 grams of marijuana was located in his right front jacket pocket.  The subject also admitted to having smoked methamphetamine previously in the day.  Prior to arrest, permission was gained to search a tote bag in his possession, where a locomotive GPS tracking device was located.  The serial numbers were run and it was discovered to have been stolen from the San Joaquin Valley Railroad yard in Exeter in January of this year.  The value of the stolen property was determined to be approximately $7,000.00.  The subject was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Main Jail without incident.

On 04-04-12 officers contacted Thomas Hicks (05/22/73, BRO, BLU, 6-0, 230) regarding an outstanding bench warrant. Hicks was booked, cited and released at the Exeter Police Department without incident.

On 04-04-12 officers responded to the 300 block of north Orange regarding a vandalism. The victim’s vehicle’s windshield was smashed. At this time it is unknown who caused the damage. This case is still under investigation.

On 4-4-12 at approximately 1820 hours, Officers responded to the 300 blk of Peach to serve an arrest warrant. Luis Quintero, who is described as a HMA, 5-07 150lbs, BRO Blk, with a DOB of 1-14-92, was arrested. Luis Quintero was released from the Exeter Police Department with an Agreement to Appear.

On 4-4-12 at approximately 1905 hours, Officers responded to the 800 Blk of Monarch Circle to serve an arrest warrant. Armando Luna, who is described as a HMA, 5-07 190lbs, BRO Blk, with a DOB of 9-10-81, was arrested. Armando Luna was released from the Exeter Police Department with an Agreement to Appear.

04-05-12 at 10:20PM. A citizen in the 200 block of North “C” St. reported the theft of prescription medication. A report was taken by Exeter P.D.

On 04/06/12 at approx. 1400hrs., Officers contacted Leticia Arias at EPD, after she came in to take care of an active misdemeanor bench warrant. Arias was taken in to custody for the warrant, then cited and released with a promise to appear citation.

On 4/6/12, Officers responded to the 700 block of west Pine for a report of a stolen license plate. Officers contacted the victim who stated sometime over the last two days, her rear license plate was stolen.

On 4/6/12, Officers responded to the 300 block of west Maple for a report of a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Officers contacted all parties involved and 49 year old, Angel Avila (DOB 10/2/62 , blk/bro, 5-1, 184) was subsequently arrested and later booked at the Tulare county main jail.

On 04-06-12 at approximately 0218 hours, Officers responded to the 400 block of N orange in regards to a vehicle burglary in progress. Upon arrival Officers contacted a witness who stated three to four Hispanic males were trying to break into vehicles in the area. The witness stated he chased after one of the suspects with a golf club which resulted with all four males fleeing the scene in a late model Ford T-Bird. Upon contacting the victim, Officers discovered his vehicle had been opened but no property had been taken. This case is currently under investigation.

On 4/7/12 Officers conacted 37 year old, John Rebolo in the area of Loan Oak ct. and Woodland. Rebolo was found to have an active felony warrant for his arrest. Rebolo was subsequently arrested and later booked at the Tulare County Main Jail.

04-07-12 at 0206 AM. Gabriel Vasquez age 19 of Exeter was contacted by Exeter police during a disturbance call and arrested for public intoxication in the 300 block of north “B” St. Vasquez is described as a HMA 505/160 Blk/Bro D.O.B. 08-22-92 and was booked into the Tulare County Jail

On 04-07-12 at approximately 1810 hours, Officers responded to the 700 block of Westwood in regards to a theft of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who stated his 2004 red Chevy Avalanche was stolen from the driveway of his residence. Officers were able to gain information on a suspect who is being investigated for the crime.

04-08-12 at 11:05 PM. Exeter police were dispatched to the 200 block of North “C” street for domestic violence in progress. Roberta Jeffries age 51 of Exeter was arrested for Corporal injury to her spouse and booked into the Tulare County Jail. Jeffries is described as a WFA 508/127 Bro/Blu D.O.B. 12-30-60.

On 04/09/12, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Pine regarding a motor vehicle theft. The male victim reported witnessing his vehicle drive away east on Pine street and then north on ‘F” Street. The victim advised the keys had been placed under the seat. A short time later Farmersville located the vehicle on HWY 198 and Farmersville exit. The vehicle had been involved in a traffic collision. Farmersville police detained 34-year-old Denise Saucedo near the vehicle. She was later arrested for motor vehicle theft, DUI and two outstanding warrants. Saucedo was later booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

On 4-9-12 at approximately 1645 hours, officers were dispatched to the five hundred block of Nelson in regards to a domestic assault. Tawnya Barajas, described as a HFA, 5-02 156lbs, Bro and Bro, with a DOB of 5-17-88 was arrested for Spousal abuse. Barajas was booked into Tulare County Woman’s Facility.

On 4/9/12 officers responded to the 600 block of Leta Mae for the report of a theft. Report taken investigation ongoing.
