Welcome to the Exeter Police Department's internet web page.  It is my hope that you find this page informative and useful.  I began proudly serving this community in March of 1990 as a police officer, and on September 1, 2005 I was appointed by the city council to Chief of Police.  It is my vision that we as a department become actively involved in the community of Exeter, and be viewed as more than just the person in a uniform driving the car with the red lights in your rear view mirror.

The Exeter Police Department is currently staffed by 15 full time Police Officers, 10 Reserve Police Officers, 2 Volunteer Community Service Officers and 4 civilian employees.  The officers of this department are highly committed individuals who are truly proud to serve this community with the utmost in professionalism.  These dedicated individuals have the training and ability to work anywhere in the state and I am proud that they chose to work for us.

With all of the emerging trends in law enforcement and increases in technology to better assist us in performing our duties, it is my desire that we never lose sight of what we have always done well, and that is one on one service to you the citizen.  It is my desire to provide our officers the best in equipment and on going training to ensure that we continue to provide the citizens of this community with the highest quality of law enforcement service possible.

In addition to the above mentioned staff, the department is also highly proud of our Police Chaplains Program and our Explorer Post.  The Chaplains are available to assist members of the community in times of crisis and the Explorer program is a great introduction to the law enforcement profession for our youth.  If you would like further information or assistance regarding either of these fine programs please call us and someone will be happy to talk to you.
