On 05-02-2013 at approximately 2242 hours, an officer with the Exeter Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of S. Kaweah for a mechanical violation.  The officer contacted the driver, Hugo Ramirez Yepes (03-11-82, Blk, Blk, 5’08”, 200) and learned Yepes did not have a drivers license.  The officer then observed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and had Yepes perform F.S.T.  Yepes failed to perform satisfactory on the F.S.T. and was arrested for DUI and driving without a license.  An evidentiary breath test was collected. He was later released with a court date and his vehicle was impounded.

On 04-29-2013 at approximately 2206 hours, officer with the Exeter Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of W. Visalia Rd for a large physical fight.  When officers arrived on scene they were advised someone was inside the residence being attacked and that someone inside had a firearm.  Officers secured the residents inside and located a firearm.  Officers learned from additional witnesses that a female may have had her finger bitten off during the altercation and evidence at the scene supports this however no victim came forward.  Suspects had also fled the residence prior to officers arriving.  The case is still being investigated. 

On 04-29-2013 at approximately 1951 hours, an officer with the Exeter Police Department responded to a residence in the 600 block of N. Quince.  The complainant informed the officer that a suspect was sending him/her threatening messages.  The victim is a witness and victim in another case and the threats appear to be in retaliation.  A report for intimidating a victim/witness was taken and the case is being forwarded to the D.A.’s office.  

On 05/03/13 at approx. 0010hrs officers contacted Joaquin Carrillo in the 900 block of W. Maple.  During the contact Carrillo was found to be in possession of cocaine.  Carrillo was arrested and later transported to Tulare County Main Jail where he was booked.

On 5-3-13, Clayton Negrete was arrested in the 100 block of North Orange Street for Driving under the influence. Negrete was cited and released to a responsible party.

On 5-5/2013 Christopher Contreras was arrested in the 400 block of South I Street for Domestic Violence and violating a restraining order. Contreras was booked in the Tulare County Jail.

On 5-3-13 Officers responded to the Exeter Police Department in regards to a debit card fraud through PayPal. The case is currently being investigated.

On 05-07-2013 at approximately 1827 hours, an officer with the Exeter Police Department responded to a residence in the 300 block of Channing in regards to a theft report.  The officer learned that a bicycle had been stolen sometime during the day.  A report was taken and the officer searched the area for the bicycle with negative results. 

On 05-09-2013 at approximately 0055 hours, an officer with the Exeter Police Department contacted Mario Jaramillo (11-19-80, 5’08”, 165, Blk, Bro) in a parking lot in the area of Jacobs/Visalia.  Jaramillo was found to have three active felony warrants for his arrest at $25,000 each.  He was arrested and booked on his warrants.

On 05/09/13 Tina Palmer (02-18-61, 5-3, 150, Bro, Bro) was arrest for outstanding bench warrants. Palmer was processed and released from the Exeter Police Department with a promise to appear in court. 

On 5-10-13, a burglary took place in the 400 block of north Quince. Several war memorabilia was taken from the residence along with jewelry. An unknown total loss has not yet been concluded.

On 5-11-13, Gabriel Garcia, Hispanic Male, 5’11, 180, bro, bro, was arrested in the 800 block of Monarch Circle for domestic violence charges. Garcia was booked into the Tulare County Jail.

On 5-12-2013 Ruben Poxtan was arrested in the 100 block of North H Street on a warrant. Poxtan was released with a citation.

Luis Quintero was arrested in the 100 block of North Quince on a warrant. Quintero was released with a citation.

On 05/12/13 officers responded to the area of Glenn View and Meadow for a traffic accident.  Mathew Cavanagh (12/19/92, Bln, Grn, 6’ 0’’, 185) was contacted at the scene.  After investigation Cavanagh was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.  Cavanagh was charged with CVC 23152(a)(b), and CVC 23140(a).  Cavanagh was booked and processed at the Exeter Police Department and later released to a responsible party.
