YOUTH VOLLEYBALL: Boys and girls in the 2nd-8th grade are eligible to participate in this program that will teach the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun and organized setting. Games will be held on Saturdays and some Thursday evenings. Location TBA
YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL:Boys and girls in the K-6th grade are welcome to participate in this program. They will learn the FUNdamentals of football, team play, and sportsmanship in an organized setting. Games will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Dobson Field.
Both seasons are TENTATIVELY set to begin on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
REGISTRATION FEE IS $35.00 if registered by Friday, September 1, 2017. After Friday, September 1, 2017, players will only be assigned to a team if vacancies arise. Location: Start/Finish at the Exeter City Park (Cedar & D Street) 10K = 6.2 miles, flat and fast through the streets of Exeter. 2 Mile Prediction through downtown and city streets.
T-shirts: First 100 PAID AND SIGNED REGISTRATION entrants receive free T-shirts
Awards: 10K Run: awards will be given to the first 3 to finish in each division and to the fastest male and female. 2 Mile: awards will be given to top 10 prediction times.
Registration: 10K/2M – $25.00. RACE DAY REGISTRATION $35.00

AROUND THE WORLD IN 20DAYS COOKING CLASSES
SUMMER COOKING CLASSES:
FoodLink and Exeter Community Services have joined forces for “Around the World in 20 Days” cooking classes. “Around the World in 20 days” will be a fun filled exploration of flavors including Middle Eastern/Indian, European, Asian, African and Latino. Your journey will begin on Monday, June 26, 2017. Classes will be held at the FoodLink kitchen site. (It’s Top Chef quality) FoodLink is located at 611 2nd St., cross street is Firebaugh.
Mommy/Daddy and Me: 1st-3rd grade (limited to 8 groups) 9:30am-11:30am. $30.00/week for the pair. $15.00/additional child. Each child will make their own meal.Upper Grade: 4th-8th grade (limited to 16 participants) 12:30pm-3:30pm. $30.00 per week.

Youth Soccer League: LEAGUE IS FULL
GAMES SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 2017 HAVE BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT THIS WEEK.
Tee Ball Boys and girls who are 3 and 4 years old on or before April 30, 2017 are eligible to participate in this league. This league is strictly to begin to teach the fundamentals of the game. A soft baseball will be used for safety purposes. A game will consist of one half hour of practice and one half hour of a scrimmage against another team. Fee for Tee Ball is $40.00 on or before February 24, 2017. After that date the fee will increase to $50.00. Tentative start week is March 28, 2017. Tee Ball will play on Tuesdays at the Dobson Field Complex.
Midget Baseball / Softball Boys who are 5-6 years old on April 30, 2017 are eligible to participate in Midget Baseball. Girls ages 5-6 years old on April 30, 2017 are eligible to participate in Midget Softball. These programs will teach the basic fundamentals of baseball and softball in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. Players will learn team play and good sportsmanship. The fee for this program is $40.00, if paid, on or before Febuary 24, 2017. After February 24, 2017 the fee increases to $50.00. Tentative start date is the week of March 29, 2017. Midget boys will play Thursdays and Midget girls will play on Wednesdays. All games will be played at the Dobson Field complex.
NEW Intermediate League Baseball/Softball: Intermediate League is open to boys (baseball) and girls (softball) who are 7-9 years old by April 30, 2017. This league is to prepare players for more competitive baseball/softball. Players will be hitting off a pitching machine. Baseball will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Softball will play on Mondays and Wednesdays. All games will be at the Dobson Field complex.
Minor and Major Softball Girls who are 9-14 years old on or before April 30, 2017 are eligible to participate in this league. Games will be played on Mondays and Thursdays. Tentative start week is March 27, 2017. Practices will be determined by the coach. Fee for both programs is $40.00 if paid on or before February 24, 2017. After February 24, 2017 the fee increases to $50.00.
Babe Ruth: is now accepting registration for the 2017 Babe Ruth season. This league is open to boys who are between 12 and 15 years old by APRIL 30, 2017. Any 12 year old can play in the 13-15 Babe Ruth league. The Babe Ruth Organization has strict boundaries and you must have an Exeter, Three Rivers, Lemon Cove or Woodlake address OR attend classes during the traditional academic year within the boundaries to participate. Please call the office if you need clarification. TRAVELING will be involved. Fee is $70.00. All first time players must present a birth certificate at time of registration.
Pumpkin Carving Contest: The Community Services/Recreation Department will host the 27th Annual Pumpkin Contest on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Pumpkin craving begins at 4:30pm at Mixter Park, in downtown Exeter. Kids ages 12 and under are eligible to participate. Age divisions are: 5 and under, 6-7 year olds, 8-9 year olds and 10-12 year olds. You must bring your own pumpkin. Please bring a plastic bag and newspaper for clean up. Easter Egg Hunt/Earth Day The Community Services/Recreation Department will hold the Annual Easter Egg Hunt/Earth Day at City Park, across the street from Lincoln, on Saturday April 15, 2017. City Park is located on the corner of Chestnut and D St. Starting at 9am, Exeter 4H will be hosting a FREE Petting Zoo and there will be FREE games for kids to play. EASTER EGG HUNT START AT 10AM and is opening to kids under the age of 10.
X-Men Wrestling The Recreation Department with Exeter Union High School Wrestling offer a free-style wrestling program. Sign ups start Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 6pm-7:30pm in the Exeter High School wrestling room. You can sign up any Tuesday, Wednesday ot Thursday from 6pm-7:30pm. Ages 6-18 are eligible to participate. Sign up packets are in the Community Services office.
Exeter Water Polo Summer Water Polo. This program start time TBA. Practice will be after school, Monday-Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:00pm for youth, 6:00pm-7:30pm for high school and 7:30pm-9:30pm for Masters. There will be NO PRACTICE scheduled during home Exeter Eels swim meets. The fee for this program is: High School Players: $70.00, Masters: $30.00 (Does Not include tournament fees), Junior High School and below: $30.00 (Dose not include tournament fees)
