Exeter’s unique downtown is home to 26 murals relating to the history of Exeter and its surrounding areas.
Tulare County Fire Department operates the Exeter Fire Station #11 at 137 North F. Street.
On July 1, 2017, Visalia Transit, will be the sole provider of Dial-a-Ride service in the City of Exeter, including trips within the city.

The street maintenance division is responsible for maintaining and repairing city streets and alleys. The street division ensures that all traffic control markings such as crosswalks, legends, turn arrows, stop bars, center lines, etc., and signal lights and street signs are legible and visible to provide for vehicle and pedestrian safety.
The street sweeper runs on Tuesdays and Fridays sweeping all accessible curb and gutter areas in the city. The downtown area is swept twice per week and residential areas are swept every other week.

Exeter Community Services Recreation Department maintains the city’s parks and rental facilities and offers special events and recreation for the community.
A business license is required of individuals and companies that conduct business within the City of Exeter.
