Spring Cleaning Suspended

The City’s Spring Clean Up Event scheduled for April 16th, 17th, and 18th has been suspended. Below is a message from the City’s contract solid waste service provider, Mid Valley Disposal.

“I want to thank those of you who have responded to my email updates regarding Mid-Valley’s services. The discussions have been overwhelmingly positive and valuable. Based on the conversations with my management team and many of you, we will be SUSPENDING spring clean-up events until further notice. As you know, these events require frequent face to face interaction with the public. We feel this is appropriate in light of the potential to spread the COVID-19 throughout your communities and our employees. Our goal is to maintain the essential solid waste services for all our communities”.

City of Exeter COVID-19 Coronavirus Disease Update:

The City of Exeter remains committed to protecting and preserving the health and safety of our community as the COVID-19 Coronavirus situation continues to evolve. 

State of California and Tulare County Public Health Officials are requiring all events or gatherings of more than 250 people be canceled or postponed and has recommended canceling events of less than 250.  Gatherings less than 250 held in venues that do not allow social distancing of six feet per person should be postponed or canceled. For events of less than 250 that are not cancelled, handwashing/hand sanitizing stations must be provided and participants encouraged to be mindful of social distancing.  Gatherings of individuals who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19, such as older adults, people with chronic illnesses, and those with compromised immune systems, should be limited to no more than 10 people.

The City of Exeter continues to work closely with public health officials as well as our partner agencies in Public Safety and municipal services.  As the situation continues to develop, we will be taking precautionary steps when necessary and appropriate to minimize risk to our community and staff.  It is possible that some of these precautionary steps will result in some temporary inconveniences as well as reduced and postponed services, for which we apologize.  

Regarding Exeter City Services:

For Utility Bill Payment, residents are encouraged to pay by mail, drop box or online, although City Offices are currently remaining open.

Customers needing services from City Administration should go to the Police Department lobby.  For Public Works Department services call (559) 592-3318.

The Exeter Police Department continues its normal operations and is responding to all calls for law enforcement services.

City recreation programs are being postponed and future notices will be provided when they are resumed.

As a result of precautionary measures taking place throughout Tulare County, several events have been postponed or cancelled.

How to Pay Utilities

Utility Payments can be paid online or by phone at 1- (855) 288-7463 via Credit Card, Debit Card, or E-Check. There is a processing fee of $3.25.

You can also participate in the City of Exeter’s Direct Payment Plan which authorizes the city to deduct the utility payment from your chosen bank account. To authorize the Direct Payment Plan, download the authorization form and return it to the City of Exeter. Note, please attach a voided check to the authorization form.
