Election Information

The City Council consists of five members, elected by district in five single-member districts. One member of the City Council shall be elected from each district by the voters of that district alone. Each Council Member serves four-year staggered terms, without limit. Elected Officials serve until his/her successor has been elected and qualified. Elections are held in November of even numbered years.

The City contracts with the County of Tulare to handle municipal elections. The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) filings which include the statements of economic interest and campaign disclosure statements.
