Water Conservation

The City of Exeter is under Phase 3 of its Drought Response Plan. Outdoor watering is still limited to two days per week based on address. Last update issued on April 18, 2019. Below is information on the Watering Schedule.

Customer Notice Stage 3 Watering Restriction April 2019

DROUGHT RESPONSE STAGE 3

  • Mandatory, two-day a week, landscape and lawn watering schedule
  • Water before 7 am or after 8 pm
  • No watering within 48 hours of rainfall (>0.01 inches)
  • No water runoff
  • No washing of sidewalks and driveways
  • Unless using a recycled water system, no ornamental water features
  • Non-compliance fines up to $500

The City of Exeter continues to be under Phase 3 of its Drought Response Plan. Outdoor watering is still limited to two days per week based on address.

GRAPHIC: No Watering: Monday, Wednesday or Friday
Even: Tuesday and Saturday
Odd: Wednesday and Sunday

If your address ends with an “even” number, 0,2,4,6, or 8, your watering days are Tuesdays and Saturdays.
If your address ends with an “odd” number 1,3,5,7 or 9, your watering days are Wednesdays and Sundays.
Violation Level Citation Amount

  • First Violation: $100
  • Second Violation: $200
  • Third Violation: $500

Excessive runoff prohibited
Vehicles/Trailers shall only be washed at commercial car washes
The use of water for recreational devices, including waterslides, is prohibited.


Watering is only allowed before 7:00am or after 8:00pm
