Parks and Recreation Program 2019 - A Great Place to Play!
The City of Exeter Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs throughout the year. A description of the activities can be found below. You can also download the brochure to make your plans.

All sport league registrations begin approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the start of the season.
Fees vary from sport to sport.
Registration forms can be found in the document center at cityofexeter.com or you may pick one up at City Hall located
at 137 N F St.

All boys and girls in K through 8th grade are eligible to participate. The season begins the 2nd weekend in January. Games will be played on Saturdays ending in March. Registra- tion begins in October.
Boys and girls who are 3-4 years old by April 30 are eligible to participate. This league is strictly to begin to teach the fundamentals of the game. A soft baseball will be used. Games will be held during the week. A game will consist of one half-hour of practice and one half-hour of a scrimmage. Registration begins in February.
Midget Coach Pitch is open to 5-6 years old by April 30. Players will be taught the fundamentals of the game in a non-competitive environment. Games will be played during the week. NO weekend games. Registration begins in February.
Fall Festival Horseshoe Tournament
The City Of Exeter sponsor’s this event. Fee to participate is $25.00. Participants will receive a free t-shirt. Race day registration starts at 6am and closes at 6:30am
Fall Festival 10K/2M Race
The City of Exeter with the Exeter Kiwanis Club host this event. 10K/2M Prediction race begins at 7pm at City Park. First 50 paid entries will receive a free t-shirt. Fee for this event is $25.00. Race Day fee $35.00
Youth Soccer League
Boys and girls ages 3-14 are eligible to participate. The season will begin in June and run thru August with games being played on weekends. Registration begins in May.
Youth Flag Football/Volleyball in May.
Boys & girls in the 1st – 6th grade can participate in Flag Football and boys & girls in the 2nd – 8th grade are eligible to participate in Volleyball.
Coaches will teach fundamentals, team play and sportsmanship. Games will be held on Saturdays and the season will start mid September and runs thru November.
FREE Easter Egg Hunt
The Recreation Department will hold the Annual Easter Egg hunt at the
City Park on the Saturday before Easter. This program is free to children 1-10 years of age who want to participate.
4th of July 10k/2m Race
The City of Exeter with the Exeter Kiwanis Club host this event. 10K/2M Prediction race begins at 7am at City Park. First 100 paid entries will receive a free t-shirt. Fee for this event is $25.00, $35.00 on race day. Race day registration starts at 6am and closes at 6:30am.
4th of July Horseshoe Tournament
The City Of Exeter sponsors this event. Fee to participate is $25.00. Participants will receive a free t-shirt.
Intermediate Base/Softball (Pitching Machine)
This League is open to 7-8 year old’s AND 9 year old’s not ready to play at the next level. The age a player is on April 30 of the current year is the age that player will play under. Registration begins in February. League starts in March.
Minor & Major League Softball
This league is open to girls 9-14 by April 30. of the current year. Evaluations for this league TBA. Open registration beginnings the first week in February. League begins in March. BOTH leagues may be required to travel.
Babe Ruth Baseball
Players between the ages of 12-16, by April 30 of the current year, are eligible to participate in this league. The season will begin in June and play through July. Games will be played during the week and on week-ends. Some traveling is required
FREE Pumpkin Carving Contest
The Recreation Department will host the Annual Pumpkin Carving contest on Wednesday during the week of Fall Festival at Mixture’s Park. Carving begins at 4:30pm. 1st & 2nd place trophies will be awarded in 2 catego-ries, Spookiest & Most Original. Children Ages 1-12 are encouraged to participate
