Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District Oversight Committee Vacancies

EXETER LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE VACANCIES: Seven (7) vacancies exist on the City of Exeter Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District Committee effective December 12, 2023. The committee shall meet at mutually agreeable times and places, but no more than three (3) times per year unless otherwise explicitly approved by action of the City Council. The committee shall review the draft engineer’s report supporting the annual L&L assessments for any issues and/or areas of concern. The committee is authorized to report to the City administrative staff on its issues and findings and shall report unresolved issues to the City Council along with its recommendations related to how the issues may be addressed. Additionally, the committee shall review and report back on any L&L issues expressly referred to it by the City Council, including but not limited to the financial sustainability of particular Districts. Meetings are typically in the City Council Chambers located at 137 North F Street. Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District Oversight Committee members are appointed by City Council.

TERM OF APPOINTMENT: The individuals appointed by the City Council to fill these vacancies will serve a two-year (non-staggered) term, and there shall be no limits on the number of terms that may be served. The City Council will strive to appoint members representing a variety of L&Ls and Electoral Districts to achieve diverse perspectives and widespread community representation. Members shall abide by all applicable conflicts of interest laws when undertaking their responsibilities.
